Barbee Bascom looks around her flooded condominum at the Woodside complex. She and her animals are staying upstairs until the water receeds from lower level of her unit. She has lived their for 17 years and this is the second flooding she has gone through. Since Hurricane Katrina hit and flooding in the Sacramento region, more attention is given to the extensive levee system in the area. The government is now funding and building up the area for better flood protecton which is now in the spotlight.
