TITLE: A World without sun On the way into the house, Michele Milota cloaks her daughter, Aimee, 2, from the sun after they learned in March that their daughter had xeroderma pigmentosum, a very rare inherited disease that causes extreme sensitivity to the sun's ultraviolet rays. Michele, who has two sons, was thrilled when she had a daughter, but the delight soon turned to sorrow as their lives were turned upside-down with the diagnosis. The family is learning to cope with life in a dark house and late night trips to the park. June 2004
